Reordering of Rows in Database Designer

Postby degarrin » Tue Feb 07, 2012 3:22 am

Hi. I created a new form, generated a table in the database, and then realized it needed an additional field. The field is placed correctly in the form, but does not appear in the correct order inside the database table (it is near the end instead of the top) and I am not sure how to move it. I looked through the forums, but didn't see any other posts that seemed like my issue. I tried regenerating the table in the database designer, renaming the fields so that they were in the correct order through the database designer, and looked through phpmyadmn (which I am a newbie at and still learning) to see if I could figure it out without luck. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

Thank You
Angela

I too have run into this problem. Is there a way to insert a new row in between existing rows, or even better is there a way to rearrange the order of all the fields?

Edit: I used Navicat to access the db directly and redesign the database (moved fields around). Then I reconnected the database, and it seems to have worked. HTH

Hello. The easiest way is to use phpMyAdmin (which is included in cPanel) or other DB manager to reorder fields.
